Makes me think it's a watered down version. It has a built in pick up but NO pre-amp.which is the only thing that makes this one different than the normal Bob Weir. Has a double abalone inlay around the sound hole. 20 frets w/ a diagonal inlay on the 12th, typical Alvarez-Yairi head stock w/ gold Alvarez-Yairi tuners (that's another issue). It's got what appears to cedar top with a really like rosewood back and sides. I (think) it's an Alvarez-Yairi Bob Weir model. If it lasts me a few years and gets destroyed I'm only out $440. I think I really lucked out and got a great guitar for a fantastic price. Not too concerned, my object was to get a good guitar for a good price. I know it's an Alvarez-Yairi and it sounds smooth (needs some work) and also had plenty of cosmetic blemishes, and some small cracking of the soundboard radiating from the end of the neck/fretboard. However, I have no idea what model it is. I just scored this guitar from a guy on Craigslist, really good deal.
